er, apparently Tom stayed away because Captain Jack pushed some buttons.
Of course, it is the job of listeners to push a radio hosts buttons, so that is not "really" true.
However, it does appear that Tom is going through some kind of crisis.  Maybe a Monk movie deal?

Is there still hope for a classic podcast episode? I mean, I know the podcast editor probably has other things on his plate but I just thought I'd ask.

yeah, but I gotta have the podcast.  It gets me through the bus ride to work, and the ride home, and my lunch break, and the walk from the bus stop.  I gotta stay mobile.
