Much to my surprise, I'm enjoying the new adaptation currently airing on BBC America.  I thought I might, when I saw that it was written by Steven Moffat, who wrote some of my favorite episodes of the new Who (there's another crossover to come as well:  apparently, Mark Gatiss is to appear as Robert Louis Stevenson), but I still doubted that yet another version of the Jekyll/Hyde story would hold my attention.  But this one has turned out to be quite fun.  It's silly as hell, of course, but that's rarely a problem for me.

I liked it, although i only saw the first episode. That guy is taking over Dr Who next season.
Also the nurse is the new Bionic Woman.

James Nesbitt is going to be Dr. Who?  Oh, I find that very worrying.  He's doing well in Jekyll, but I can imagine him camping it up far too much as the Doctor.

No he is not taking over the role. Jason meant that Steven Moffat who wrote Jeckyl is taking over. Moffat has quashed the rumor that Nesbitt is not going to be the next Doctor.

Actually I'm more excited for who might be playing Davros

I'm relieved--assuming you really meant to say "Moffat has quashed the rumor that Nesbitt is not going to be the next Doctor."

On another Who note, I'm not loving season 3 so far.  Hope it gets better.

Yeah, I'm expecting good things from "Blink."  As I said, Moffat is responsible for some of my favorite episodes, so the show looks to be in good hands.

Torchwood starts on BBC America next month.  I know it's supposed to be crap, but I'm looking forward to it even so.

Whatever you do, do not watch the Sleestack (or whatever those things are called) Fight Club episode. It is wretched. The rest of it is okay with a few truly great episodes thrown in. BOYS TOTALLY KISSING! WITH TONGUE AND EVERYTHING! It makes me giddy.

Is Blink really this good?

"Is it possible that “Blink” is the greatest Doctor Who episode ever created? Maybe. But it’s even more probable that “Blink” is such a fine piece of sci-fi/horror that it deserves to stand on its own, outside the larger canon of the series."

Should I now bother to track this down "somewhere" (not having ever seen any complete episode of Dr. Who)?

Blink is one the shows in the new version of Dr Who where the Doctor is a very small part of the whole episode. So it totally stands on its own

"Blink" was great.  Well worth tracking down.
