what about TV series?  I've been catching up on my Arrested Development and I always go back to Trailer Park Boys when I'm sick of everything.  I could watch that shit ALL DAY.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

I recently saw Year of the Dog. It may have flown under some people's radars. It's quite smart, funny, and also touching.

I thought it was really underrated. Molly Shannon is great in it and it's certain a very touching, sad movie.

I think TV shows are always the best to revisit. Each year (especially during Summer and Christmas break), I watch the entire Seinfeld series, all the Simpsons DVDs, Freaks & Geeks, It's Always Sunny, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Arrested Development. Then there's always Upright Citizens Brigade, Kids in the Hall, etc.

There are still comedies I can always rewatch (Wet Hot American Summer, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, The Jerk).

Maybe there's another thread for this one but I thought Hamlet 2 was really good.

Steve Coogan's performance was simultaneously hilarious and toe curling (in part because I often struggle to answer the question, "what if I do suck as an artist")

A lot of major critics have trashed it, but I think Burn After Reading is the funniest movie I've seen all year. It's the best kind of comedy: stupid people who think they're smart, running around and fudging things up. I can't wait to see it again.

My grade: A-

The critical rap on Burn After Reading seems to be that it's enjoyable but forgettable. I had the same exerience with  Intolerable Cruelty (The Coen Brother's movie with Clooney, Catherine Zeta Jones and B-Bob Thornton). I know I enjoyed the heck out of it, but in retrospect, I can't tell you what the plot was. So I should probably see Burn After Reading, and then immediately go see it again so I can remember what happened.

It's perhaps more of a dramady than comedy, but I like Weeds . Kevin Nealon's character cracks me up ... he's an idiot, but an idiot with a few savant-ish areas in which he excels, which is sort of an interesting twist on the Will Ferrel formula
