There's this charity that was once "The Association of Retarded Children," later the "Association of Retarded Citizens." Commonly called the ARC. At some pointed they decided that they were just "the Arc" and that "Arc" didn't stand for anything, it was just like, an ark of helping.
Now, I have a lot of respect for both PETSMART and The Arc. But you don't get to just keep the same name and then say it means something new now. That's just weird.
