Best of Philly Boy Roy
« on: November 01, 2008, 05:24:11 PM »
Hey, folks.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource where I could download some of Philly Boy Roy's most notable calls.  A friend of mine's birthday is approaching and I wanted to burn him a greatest hits cd.  He's totally unfamiliar with the show, so I think it would serve the dual purpose of entertaining him and exposing him to the Best Show.

Are any of PBR's calls on the Stereolaffs cds?  I guess I could check that out myself (and I will).

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.  Thanks for your consideration.

The best way to get acquainted with Philly Boy Roy is to go through the Archives and listen to every show where you see his name listed, in order.  Then listen to all of the 2007 shows, even the ones without descriptions so you can get caught up on that entire year.  There were a lot of Philly Boy Roy calls that year, but you should really listen to all the episodes.  This ain't no salad-bar!

PBR also shows up on the CD The Art Of The Slap on the track: Philly Boy Roy and his Psychic Son.  So, that episode will be listed, but not playable, in the archives.

You can easily find your way to PBR calls here: http://buffcoat.blogspot.com

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Also, you can hear PBRs "first call" at Martin's site:

(I believe he made a brief cameo previous to this show, on the "Yankees Vs. Mets" episode of the Best Show. But this is the first call where PBR had the spotlight shoined on him).
