yeah I've read bootleg a few years ago very interesting read. Also I know exactly of those cds you talk about of things of just one track over and over. I don't get it. Sure I've got studio outtake stuff but it usually a cd filled of different material. Hell I'm still waiting for that freakin Archives Box set thats been promised for close to 20 years from Neil Young. I'll just make due with the fans versions of it.

This trailer is pretty exciting: http://www.repriserecords.com/neilarchives/

Good God, a reason to live

I think I'm WAY  WAY more excited about this than I should be.  I have no idea what a "blue wray" is, but I see they've finally gotten wise and are releasing real cd's.  I did, however, hear two new NY songs (aside from the 3 I heard a concert late last year), and wow.....wowowoowoww.  Horrific.  I'm talking about the single most mindblowing songwriter I can think of, my north star, my everything....the obelisk of knowledge for me....and I was nearly puking from laughter.  IT.  WAS.  SO.  FUCKED.

Where'd the money go, where'd the money go---that was the lyric.  Over and over again.  Just the worst.

Clinton Heylin's book "Babylon's Burning" is actually pretty good. Nowhere near his Dylan work, or Velvets to the Voidoids, but still a pretty compelling read.  Worth picking up at the used book store, for sure.  I have NOT read the bootleg book, though--thank you all very much for the rec. on this one.
Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink
