i believe dave has a point.  i speak up merely because he's one of the good guys and has a legitimate point.

Dave is 100% OTM. The Michael Jackson jokes are in poor taste and most aren't all that funny. If it was one of your family members that was the butt of these jokes, think of how you'd feel.

I guess for me it's more that he's been such a punchline for so many years now that most of the jokes stopped being funny years ago.

I think the biggest eyeroll I got out of all of the internet reaction was one page's comments section where a guy piped in with something to the effect of "eh, he meant nothing to me. I'll really be crushed when Jello Biafra goes."

Now, this does ring with me to some extent. For years I was afraid that I would cry if told that Neil Young had died. Now, after Greendale and Fork in the Road, they might be tears of relief.
