Pretty, Pretty snow!
« on: February 09, 2010, 11:15:11 PM »
In the immortal words of Ted Leo, "Rock Creek Park, to the Ave., and on past the zoo- there's a whole lot of walking, whole lot of walking to do!"
My walk in DC tonight, Forest Glen to Rock Creek to Kensington to Wheaton to Silver Spring, to Forest Glen! 2 feet> 4 wheels anyday!

Anyone else with some good snowed in (or out) stories?

Looking forward to seeing my first real snowfall in Manhattan, but nothing so far. I guess it's on its way north.

Bluh.

Nebraska's been hit with snow pretty much every day to every other day since mid-December this winter. I know you think this may happen every year in Nebraska but, no, it doesn't.

I'm so ready for it to stop.

Please, snow, STOP.

Even the weather man was making snarky comments tonight on the news, alluding to the non-stop snow crap we've been "blessed" with lately.

New York is having the typical "the offices are open, unless you're some sort of wuss who can't handle walking to the subway, you WUSS. Does baby need a ba-ba?"

And this DC weather is as bad as anything I saw in Colorado. I remember maybe one two foot accumulation there, and we pushed past that early.

Dog loves and hates it.

Lots of my coworkers took a personal day today - so you get the credit for going in!

Um, there were snow flurries as I walked to class this morning, which made me cold in my thin cardigan.

I just walked the dog through waist-deep snow.  Not a snow drift:  a whole field of waist-deep snow.  I also made him chase the red dot through this snow.  He is now already asleep on his blankie.

It was raining (here in the northeast) all spring and summer.  I knew we'd be in for a hell of a winter.  Actually, we've been lucky in the tri-state area, aside from today.

Bah. This weather is lousy.

Plus, I was almost impaled by a snow shovel.
