hello new FOTs, any way to get the best show DVD?

hey gang - I'm a new FOT wondering if there's a way for those of us who weren't flush during this year's pledge drive to get a copy of the (still upcoming?) best show DVD. I vaguely recall Tom mentioning on air that new people could still get the DVD, but I don't remember the details. Obviously I'm willing to make a donation either to the show or WFMU. I've searched the boards and can't seem to find an answer to this - so any help would be appreciated - all the best.

i think you can still go to https://www.wfmu.org/marathon/pledge.php, pledge at least $75, then for your DJ premium, pick The Best Show ...Chump Steamroller Pack & get the DVD (among other gems) when it's available.  good luck!  and welcome.

Clearly, i couldn't donate before I knew about the Best Show....no left over copies sold for charity or something like that. Or FOT's willing to share 'em with n00bs?

When you donate during the marathon, there's usually the option to pick certain premiums from years past in addition to the regular premiums. That is, if you donate at a mouse pledge level or up ($365), which gives you six premium packages of your choice. Some older Best Show premiums might still be available if you're lucky. Otherwise they're GONE.

Clearly, i couldn't donate before I knew about the Best Show....no left over copies sold for charity or something like that. Or FOT's willing to share 'em with n00bs?

if i remember correctly i think Tom posted something once about there being some sort of statute of limitations for sharing old premium content on the board. like if it's really old and totally unavailable anywhere else.

i say take Martin's suggestion and try to see if you can get it by donating next year, otherwise you might have to wait  a long while before you'll see any of it being shared online.

or find a local FOT and borrow it. then donate.

every option should ultimately involve giving WFMU money. trying to get it for free is just lame.

i wasn't able to obtain any older premium packs but I was able to donate and sign up for the DVD. Pretty stoked to hear on last weeks show that it's almost finished!

If anyone does know how to get hol of older packs (and again, I'm willing to pay) please let me know.

If anybody else still wants to get the DVD, I was able to donate for this year's marathon and request last year's DVD premium as a replacement for this year's premium.  I'm not sure how long that option will be available, so I would double check first.
