I keep forgetting that it's in there. Then I open up the case to put the CD on every so often and I have to read the whole thing again. The Electric Tie Rack! The Shitheels! And the no-holds-barred comedy of Buddy Williams!

Does anybody know anything more about this? Is there anything to know? Did Yo La Tengo write it themselves or was it some alt-comedy superstar working incognito? Was there anything like it included with any other YLT releases? And just who are the Condo Fucks??

Condo Fucks = YLT, pretending to be from Connecticut. They put out a covers album two years ago.

I was aware of that, yes. Although such was my expectation of further trickery that I initially thought that they were all original songs and the individual songwriting credits ("B.Wilson, R. Christian" etc.) were part of the joke.

Ah, the ever talented and mysteriously clever Yo La's!  At one of their Q & A shows someone asked why all the songs on their then current album all ended so abruptly, was that a new style they were trying?  To which Ira replied something like, "If you want to hear the endings for the songs, you'll have to buy the whole album, instead of the illegally downloaded sample of the album."  Oops!!!

I pulled this out yesterday when re-listening to the album.  I noticed that the photo used on "The Electric Tie Rack" album cover is the same photo on the cover of the "The Quadsmen" album.  I wonder if this photo has some other significance.
