more puppet radio
« on: March 26, 2012, 06:28:18 PM »
"Ghost Light Grammar School" is a new radio show on KUSF (stream hosted by WFMU) on Thursdays from 6-9am PST. It's quickly become my new favorite radio show after The Best Show, and oddly enough this show also has a puppet, Mr. Shaggs, but I'm fairly certain that there is no inspirational connection to the Best Show. Mr. Shaggs reads his poems and answers listeners questions.

The show is so good, it's structured like an elementary school day, with an opening/closing bell, excercise time, etc. The production values are very high - there are theme songs not only for the show itself, but also for various segments - "name that Cinematographer", "Five Questions about Dan", and "Steinman Time". The host Fillbee is great, he never sleeps! And he plays great songs in between.

Anyway, just another radio recommendation for ya!
