Favorite Martin Short moments
« on: October 29, 2012, 08:07:29 AM »
My favorite Martin Short moment was in a Jiminy Glick episode where he is interviewing Conan O'Brien and while he is talking he is gesturing with his finger and then his eyes subtlety dart over to it and he gets startled by it. It sends me into a fit of laughter every single time.

Second favorite moment: The part in Clifford where he is dancing, but specifically the dance where his hand is attracted to his face no matter how much he tries to slap it away.

In the same Jiminy Glick episode, he gets Conan to sing 'Silent Night' in a Catholic choirboy voice, then breaks in with this ridiculous basso profundo. I replayed that one over and over.

This is one of the most difficult questions ever raised, but if I had to narrow it down it would be an SCTV sketch as leadsinger of 'The Queenhaters' singing 'I hate the bloody Queen'. Mr. Short is completely punk rock in this, and the lyrics are beyond hilarious. I haven't been able to listen to the Sex Pistols without laughing ever since.
