Made one major ommision from my list.......

Charles Bradley - No Time For Dreaming

I love old, deep southern soul but I've never really dug on the Daptone stuff. This LP was an exception. I'm not sure there's a record that came out this year that sounded as good as this the first time I listened to it. It was the closest thing to seeing the good Rev. John Wilkins at Gonerfest.

This is the only list that matters! Finally got this.  This album is very good and available at a fair price from Dischord.

Ex-Jawbox frontman! The band has a f*cking Cello!  And it works.

Notice how people are NOT clamoring for my list. Even though I am Customer Extraordinaire at the record store that I used to shoehorn in Ted Leo, Aimee Mann, and Patton Oswald references on the Best Show DVD. But I will post it anyway.  http://discexchange.tuneportals.com/Genre/694311

Dfk, your list looks good. I am going to check out a couple of bands I don't know. Question-- Lambchop's "Mr M" fell short for you?

I actually liked what I heard, but I only heard it once, and it didn't seem significantly different than earlier stuff? Like, I love Isa Woman, and Nixon's got some great stuff. I would certainly give it another try.
