NYC Area Comedy question
« on: November 06, 2013, 10:10:51 AM »
I'll be traveling through the area in late November to visit family and I was wondering if there are any interesting Comedy shows I might be able to see.  I know that hot tub is no more, are there other good weekly comedy shows that lean a little AST or altenative.  If any of you can direct me to any resources or have any suggestions let me know.

I should have mentioned the dates.  I'm looking at record fair weekend, Nov 21-24.  Any other suggestions.  Thank you.

This is in Park Slope, Brooklyn--which is easily accessible.  I've never seen Dave Hill but I've seen decent comedy shows here. (Jon Benjamin is on the bill for this one.)

Dave Hill was on the Best Show once. He's funny, it will be fun. He's also the guitar player for Dokken.

On Monday nights at 11, there is a great show at the UCB called Whiplash. It's free (they just ask that you kick in a few bucks on your way out if you can), and it's consistently great. Just make a reservation a few days before, and you'll get in no sweat. http://newyork.ucbtheatre.com/shows/view/1858

Dave Hill's band--Valley Lodge--played last night on FMU--Evan Funk Davie's show. They were very good.
