Teen Girl Night episode (2001)
« on: November 22, 2014, 11:15:22 AM »
I've been working my way through the archives and caught the build-up to Teen Girl Night, where Tom invited in three teenage callers who were having a tough time at school.

Tom let them host for one night and play their favorite Can, Neu and Iggy Pop tracks - you know, regular teenage music!

It was pretty hilarious - but was there any follow-up to it? It seemed like the three girls sort of disappeared from the scene pretty quickly.

In any event, those 2001 shows were really fantastic. Particularly post 9/11, with Tom handling the horrific events with a true humanity that was missing in most media coverage (ie: Howatd Stern calling for the Middle East to be nuked).

I've been working my way back through the archives, too. And I was also wondering about them.  Did they continue to listen to the show throughout its run?  Where are they now?  Etc.

If you keep listening I think one of the girls calls in about a year later. Not too sure, it's been a while since I listened to those episodes. I am working my way through the archives as well, up to February 2006 now.

It's probably odd that one of the things I most associate with 9/11 at this point is somebody sitting down and eating an entire cheesecake.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!
