I'm about 380 pages in, and I have one question: "Effing"? Is that really appropriate in a children's book?

There are at least five instances of this. It's mostly Harry and Ron, but I think Hermione gets one in as well. I didn't mark the pages.

You're either joking or you have the "adult version" and the "adult version" is actually different.

I should've gotten the "adult version", maybe!

They don't actually say the real word, but there's a lot of effin' and jeffin' in the book. Well, mostly just the "effing."
