Todd Barry In Chi-Town

Sorry to waste a thread on this, but just wondering if anyone else in the Chicago area was going to see Todd this weekend. I guess I'm trying to put together a Chicago FOT meetup. Me and my buddies are seeing Todd this Friday. FOT in Chi-Town is like a vague dream. Anyone going to be around the Belmont/Clark area Friday night? Let's talk Best Show! Let's get drunk! Come on, people! Anyone going to be around?

Warning: Unrelated. but the Todd Barry stuff about Fargo's Aquarium was hilarious. I live in Fargo and hope to see Todd and discuss his Best Show appearance while at the Aquarium. Is that asking too much? Maybe I should just pay and watch and laugh.

If only I had checked the board this weekend...

I went to the early Barry show on Fri. and The Vaselines at the Metro tonight.

Both were fantastic.

I went to the early Barry show on Fri. and The Vaselines at the Metro tonight.

Both were fantastic.

I was wowed by how adept Todd's wit was with the audience. When he took that girl to task about going to school in Appleton I did not see the Houdini museum coming. I was sitting behind those drunk guys that got booted so I was disappointed he didn't rip them while they were still there.

Yeah that was great.  She was walking behind me when I was leaving and seemed really excited about Todd giving her so much attention.  I actually didn't even notice those drunk guys until he mentioned them.  I was sitting in the center, 5 or 6 rows back.
