Hal Holbrook article

Here's a heartwarming article on Tom's favorite to win the best supporting actor Oscar, veteran actor and Mark Twain-conjurer, Hal Holbrook.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/02/21/hal.holbrook/index.html
I, as I'm sure Tom does too, look forward to an acceptance speech with such nuggets as:
"I have never been more aware of an editor's genius as I have in this particular film."
"To work with Sean Penn might be the best experience I've ever had with a director . . He gives you space to explore whatever the scenes bring out of you."
The Oscar nomination "is like a miracle." he says.

He was actually in Denver doing that Mark Twain show when I was there last week. I considered going, but (1) I would have had to miss one of the real plays I was supposed to be seeing, and (2) I didn't want to pay for it.

Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
