He said the comedy starring Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks, Justin Long and Traci Lords has been rated NC-17 by the Motion Picture Association of America.

Smith called that rating, which prohibits children under 17 from seeing the film, "disappointing." He said he hopes to have it revised to an R rating.

"I didn't feel it was an NC-17 movie," he told the crowd during a 90-minute presentation peppered with profanity. "I think it's a hard R. I think we earned the R."

I'll reserve judgment until I find out what song plays during the end credits.

Dyslexic Heart by Paul Westerberg. He's banking that no one will spot the reference.

I actually heard it was a cover of the Westerberg song by Panic! at the Disco.

I watched Mallrats for the first time yesterday (something I would never have bothered to do but for the show).  It was astonishingly bad.  Awful writing.  Atrocious acting.  I was amazed.

Sorry to go off track, but I just had to share my pain.

Speaking of Smith, is there anything he doesn't sell on his website/crappy comic book shop? He's up there with Gene Simmons, Jimmy Buffet, and the Dead in that top tier of douches who will merchandise anything they can.

I forget which episode it was a few weeks ago where somebody put Dane Cook/Dave Chappelle marathon 5hr+ shows onto the list, but we should throw Kevin Smith Q&A lectures on there. I think his go like five hours and all revolve around bad questions from fanboys.
