For anyone who watches The IT Crowd. This past episode they use a Guided By Voices track during the end credits to comic effect.

New series of the I.T. Crowd just began tonight, fans.

Don't know about its music policy just yet.

In the trails for the new series there's a HUGE Robert Pollard poster visible throughout in the background.

they just need to go ahead and call this the douglas show and push all the original cast to supporting characters

as much as i love richard ayoade, matt barry has been carrying this show since the second season.

In episode 3 of the current season, knowledge of GBV is used as the standard by which to gauge nerddom.  And I swear Roy's two-hour stint as a bum was the inspiration for Sarah Silverman's homeless schtick on a recent ep. of her show.
