as a general rule, any act out of (hateful?) spite annoys me out of sheer principle for being inappropriate (especially in this circumstance), but its a rarity when that same act makes me chuckle as well. 

admittedly, i found this amusing because i cant stand how nuts people are over this movie.  it looks awful.

I recently sat next to a woman reading the book on a train- just what I caught of it was enough to thoroughly convince me that I never want to see the movie.

What if this movie makes the lower order of people want to kill their dogs because then they will have movie sympathy? It's irresponsible and sick to make a movie like that.
