Dear Tom,
I have a very stupid question for you! Sometimes the mic picks up a noise in the studio - it makes a "chick chick" sound; kinda like a cigarette lighter. What is that? I know you don't smoke.

If it's the same sound I'm thinking of, I believe it's the button that puts calls on the air.
