Of course Letterman must sacrifice three or four chickens to the prevailing mythology each show but to do so with Mr. Hicks’ mother was, well.....not a surprising strata for Mr. Letterman to be most comfortable at, to moi's POV.
BTW: Who the heck didn’t do the ‘Hey Zeus not diggin’ the crosses’ bit?
I know moi did it at about age fifteen.
All in all, the Late Show gig was mildly iconoclast.
