Nothing has changed as far as I know.  However, the new recap does contain the phrase "fresh lump of feces", so there's that.  As your SoMC experience suggests, perhaps it's a temporary blockage.  If not, check that s out on your home device -- all the kids are going crazy over Recap #52.  I got an e-mail from someone today who called it "teh hottness".
