There's a restaurant along the Little River in a somewhat sketchy part of town. It's called Red Light, and they have a cocktail called the Ponzi State. I think they named it after that article in the New Yorker on Florida's ghost suburbs.
Anyway, I ate there a few weeks ago, and I was seated at a table that overlooks the river, and I saw two manatees come to the surface. And it was awesome. I had the blood orange ceviche with cassava chips and callaloo on the side that night. It was good.
