I think you could easily rescue its content.

I would jump at the chance to abandon MediaWiki, though, which is a super complex MySQL-backended buzz saw/space shuttle of a wiki that is optimized for tens of thousands of simultaneous users.  Otherwise it's just going to break again.

Did you see that you're listed under the "mutant" section, Fredericks?

Yep.

If we're starting up a new wiki (as opposed to rescuing FOTpedia), it's probably best to sort out how it's going to be organised before getting it started. I don't know if it's best doing that here or sorting out a time to meet in the chat (maybe use Google Wave?).

As I said earlier, I have no experience with wikis so it's probably best if someone else gets it up and running. I can help out with the styling/css if needed but I'd have no idea where to start with installing it, etc.

The wiki I just installed was MediaWiki, and didn't seem too intense. However, I'm still fairly new to it. If it's decided to stick with MW, I could definitely help out.

Tech-wise, is there a specific reason why the previous Wiki died? Was it an outdated version, an extension / plug-in gone wrong, etc?
Eagerly awaiting the release of "Pleasure Island: A Rock Fontasy"

MW is okay if you have someone who knows how to update it and keep it running.

My bias against it is that it uses a MySQL backend, which is just overkill for most purposes.  The reason I like PMWiki is that everything is stored in flat files, and there is no requirement that you set up "accounts" and so on.  I also like it because my web host will keep it updated for me.

If someone wants to due a Wiki page for Bonnie from GA or Captain's Donuts, then have at it.  Keep in mind that I've written over 1 million words about The Best Show so I tend to side with completism when it comes to documentation.

My in-progress entries on Larry's Roommate Darren and I agree with you on this, Omar.
This may be the year I will disappear.

I like the idea of crowd sourcing this.

My Zachary Brimstead contributions are my proudest FOT-related long-writing except for the KISS reviews.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!
