i hate it when people are jerky/standoffish to nardwuar. that guy is so awesome and the roster of folks who he's managed to snag for interviews over the years is damn impressive. sure, he's a little intense and asks some goofy questions at times, but the guy is so genuinely enthused about life and music that you can't help but smile when he gets on a roll. i thought it was a total no-class move that ian mackaye, a guy who practically threatened me and 400 others to join in a sing-a-long at an evens show, would refuse to join nardwuar in his customary sign off. for shame.

snoop dogg, on the other hand, was a total gentleman:

The videos of Snoop and Nardwuar enjoying each others' company make me inexplicably happy. MacKaye is an intolerant chump.

The Pharrell interview is really good too. I feel like MacKaye has no sense of humor.

Some of us have felt this way from the beginning.

Just the price of being earnest, I guess.

But Ian Mackaye sang that really funny song about a woman who had Ian Mackaye's voice and was mad at guys hitting on her.

I'm sure it was a big influence on the creation of the Venture Brothers character Doctor Girlfriend.
