MP3 archive?
« on: August 18, 2010, 07:37:59 AM »
I'm sure someone here has mentioned the existence of an MP3 archive?

Some searching has came up with nothing so could someone point me in the right direction?

Danke

Thanks for that, it is a useful archive. But I was looking for the shows in mp3 format, so I can add them to my ipod.

I was searching for the same thing.

If nothing exists maybe they could post something like "Classic Show of the Week". I'd love to able to hear the Newbridge Mayoral debate at my leisure and not just when I'm sitting at my computer.

I have a little IC mini-recorder it converts everything to mp3.  I sometimes use it as a Walkman.

Once it converts your input, you can upload it anywhere you want.

It is also quite handy for remote recordings for use as oodcast material or bootleg cds.

Do people really not know about Best Show Gems? This is worrying. I thought I had plagued this forum enough with info on it.

Anyway, it's available as stream and download (pod) here:

No, I'm familiar with Gems. It's how I first discovered the full length show. I meant it'd be nice to here the full length shows on MP3 because the Podcast archives only go back so far. Though I grant you I'm not sure how many of the 3 hour shows would really be that great to listen to top to bottom.

There must be a way to convert the archives to mp3 format - I think it might have been mentioned somewhere on the boards before, but I couldn't find it.

I keep all the podcasts  since my computer crash of june 2008, and for some reason have a handful of 2007 ones on there, but really want to get some older ones too, to listen to while I do whatever the hell it is I do during the day.

Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

You have to download the m3u and open it  with notepad then copy and paste that into a web browser and then "save the page as".
