Plow United vs. Anxiety 99
« on: July 28, 2011, 11:45:46 AM »
Hey guys. I don't know how familiar everyone would be with Plow United. They were a punk band in the 90s from outside Philly who were pretty good. They no doubt played countless shows with Chisel. I know I saw them at all kinds of VFW Hall/Church Basement/Troc shows.

Anyways, they're doing a reunion show at RIOT FEST, which will be in Philly in September. (It looks pretty great. I already have my ticket. On the bill: Descendents, Dead Milkmen, X, 7 Seconds, Hot Water Music and Weston.)

They have a Facebook page up and have started a thread that's hilarious and very Best Show-y.

They wanted to start a Biggie/Tupac style feud between them and a West Coast band. It ended up becoming a band they made up called Anxiety 99. People are adding all kinds of backstory to the band and the feud.

It's well worth a quick read. I loved pop-punk so much as a kid. It's hilarious to think about the whole wanna-be anarchist types of things from back then.

That bill sounds awesome! It's been almost 10 years since I last thought about Weston.
"Dad gets mad."
