Hey Triangleinos! (I will make this name happen, mark my words)
This Wednesday, November 9, the great John Hodgman will be gracing the Bull City with his presence, stopping by the Durham Armory at 7:30 p.m. I know many of us discussed going to this during the Ted Leo show, and wanted to put word out there to any other newcomers who might be wanting to join.
Admission is $25.00 for two people, which includes a copy of the book. You can preorder at the Regulator in Durham, either in person or online at
http://www.regulatorbookshop.com/event/john-hodgman-0It is worth noting that Mr. Hodgman will be joined by the most excellent Megafaun that evening (who are not FOTs per se, but mysteriously appear in the background of one of PBR's calls this spring, almost like he was backstage at a concert where they were opening for him. Funny, that), as well as known FOT and NC native David Rees (no word as to on-site artisan pencil sharpening, I'm bringing a few just in case).
Finally, I am pondering pre or post show festivities at the nearby-ish Fullsteam Brewery, not only for their excellent beers, but also for the food truck trifecta of Pie Pushers, Only Burger, and the Parlour that will be there that night. Thoughts?
