The Strange Case of Ton Scharpling’s Age

Has anyone out there notice the chronological incongruences
with Tom’s age and cultural and musical references he makes?
I’ve heard Tom state his age on the Best Show as being 57,  yet
both Wikipedia and IMDB list his year of birth as 1969, which
would make him 43.
I bring this up because he refers to himself as being “just a kid”
when he brings up certain landmark cultural references. Most
recently he said he was just nine when Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”
came out, “The Wall” was released in 1980 which would have
made him 25 if he’s 57 or 11 if he’s 43? I can’t believe someone
with his extensive knowledge of Rock music could possibly be
just 43.
Is this age discrepancy an inside, running joke of the show I
don’t know about, being fairly new to the show, or is Tom just
really bad at math?

He's been claiming to be 57 for years now. I think it's a Hollywood thing, like actresses who claim to be in their late 20s for 15 years. He's probably in his early 70s by now.
