Question about the show from a new forum member
« on: February 26, 2013, 11:51:10 PM »
Alright, so I'm a college student and in my radio class, we were talking about the differences in the Beatles' mono and stereo mixes. As a Best Show fan, I mentioned that there was an episode in which, at a Beatles convention, they were playing a new mix, and someone interrupted with bongos. People thought that was funny, and asked me to send the link to the episode of the show.

Now, problem is, I can't find the episode in which Tom talks about going to a Beatles convention, there's a panel about new mixes of Beatles songs, the guy leading the panel says that there's five differences, and someone plays bongos as the songs play.

Can anybody help? I've combed through the archives and googled, and it's not in the episodes with 'Beatles' in their name.

Thanks,
I'd really appreciate it.

No, I already listened to that one, it doesn't have the dude interrupting with drums/bongos. Sorry, I know I sound like a crazy man.

Sorry, (but I really appreciate the help!) it's not labeled as 'beatles' anything. I searched the archives.

At around 1:38:00, he starts talking about an "old guy" who wanders into a confernce room at the BeatleFest hotel during a stereo/mono remix seminar and starts to play maracas he happens to be carrying.  Maybe you meant maracas and not bongos?  Hope this helps.

Glad I could help. I look forward to Tom's BeatleFest stories. It's like an early spring ritual, usually after the FunRaiser shows. I had the pleasure to re-listen to the "Mr. Moonlight Guy" story.

No, but grazie nevertheless, Fredericks.
