You know, rock/pop bands doing vaudeville or music hall style songs.
Harry Nilsson did this a lot.  So did the Monkee's when they did his song "cuddly toy".  Queen's "Good Company" and "Seaside Rendezvous".  The Beatles "When I'm 64".  Randy Newman.
Personally I'm a fan of this kind of thing, but I know it's not for everyone.  What are some other examples of this?
