WFMU T-shirts
« on: March 10, 2010, 04:46:59 PM »
I just got my pledge info in the mail and am selecting swag but I'm curious about the shirt sizes for the WFMU shirts. Are they on American Apparel? I'm kind of an odd size and am in between two sizes (really depends on who makes the shirt).

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The newish yellow t-shirt is made by someone called "Gildan". Can't really speak of the sizes.

They vary.  The new bear shirt is smallish, shading more towards AA sizing.  Every other WFMU shirt I've ordered small, but that one I wish was medium.

If it's too small, you'll probably be able to exchange it.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I think I'll order a size up, if it looks like a tent, I'll see about exchanging it.

I don't know about men's, but my previous shirts have been Bella shirts. The woof-moo one is normal (larger than American Apparel) in general size but really shrunk vertically, so now it's oddly too short.

I hate Bellas and District Threads and Alternatives for that reason. I have about 10 District Threads tees that are like 80's style aerobics half shirts because they all shrink vertically. AA recently made there sizes closer to real sizes. I have one Newbridge AA shirt and 2 AA shirts from Cinefile that fit me well as opposed to my first few AA shirts of the same size that are too tight for my liking. I'm a garment printer so I know a little in this department. Gildans are the same size as a Hanes Beefy T which are more common size structures. I think my Kupperman shirt is a Gildan.

Friends, my apologies for bumping such an old thread.

I was wondering if the classic "Tom&Jon&Mike&Spike..." shirt is available anywhere?  It doesn't appear to be on the WFMU or FOT sites, and I'd rather go through these routes than the eBay etc& routes, if that's possible.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is treading over well-trod ground.

It was a part of the 2011 "Don't Stop Me Now" Fun Pack marathon premium. It's not listed as available in the Prize Warehouse, and, according to Omar, "Tom takes the leftover premium Fontasy Packs and jams them down a random sewer in the middle of the day. So it goes."

On a related, yet unrelated note, the sterolaffs website says of the "Newbridge is For Lovers" T shirt "Shirt is made by American Apparel. SHIRTS ARE KIND OF TIGHT. IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE ABOUT WHAT SIZE TO ORDER, GET THE NEXT ONE UP"

So I ordered an XL instead of an L. Turns out my shirt is not an AA shirt and the XL is huge. I don't mind at all, I have something awesome and roomy to kick about the house in with my at home only sweat pants. (Yeah, I'm a Slob. What of it?)

Anyway, maybe this info will be of use to someone in the future
"You know it's like, if you had a choice between 4 slobs dressed as lumberjacks and 4 shirtless good looking guys in tight black jeans and high-top leather sneakers, who would you choose?"

The Newbridge Is For Lovers shirt is incredibly comfortable.  Got it a few weeks ago and it instantly became my favorite shirt.
