So I'm here at work (on a construction site.) There's a point in every job near the end where the following is true:
1) All the paperwork is completed for the actual construction phase (if it's not ordered by now, we won't have it before opening day)
2) There is a lot of work left to be done in the field in a short period of time (long hours for everyone but me)
3) All the subcontractors are pushing to get their work complete, so none of them want to talk about closeout paperwork or final contract adjustments
I'm at that point in my job right now. It's miserable. I have to be here the long hours in case anyone has any questions or needs me to make a judgement call, but there is no work for me to occupy my time with.
This part of my job sucks.
