Of course he's insane. He's more self-conscious and guarded than practically any other caller in Best Show history. I'm not super into Avalanche Bob, but at least Avalanche Bob OWNS Avalanche Bob. Is Avalanche Bob more sane than Matt from Oakland? Very possible!

THAT is an awesome point because Bob seems relatively sincere even though he clearly has no idea what he's actually participating in. Matt is Ben bleepin Verneen when he calls because he so desperately wants everyone to know who he is while at the same time NOT wanting everyone to know who he is.

I still think there's, like, a 1 in 10 chance that Matt from Oakland is not Matt Skiba, but it's only because I can't imagine anybody that successful being so ashamed of their success. True, we are not exactly talking about Jimmy Page levels of success, but still.
