There are a few couples like that in Key West, where I used to vacay every other long weekend or so. I haven't had time lately. :(

Anyhoodle, my favorite one is the lady who favors Laura Ashley patterned dresses. She looks like your average middle-aged soccer mom type, but she leads around a latex-clad gimp dude on a leash. Fun for the whole family!

I just hope Mr. Graves knows how to use a choke collar properly.

That's not fair! They let cats ride the bus to the fish and chip shop!

A while ago I used to work at Dallas BBQ at 2nd Ave. and St. Mark's Place, and one of the few highlights of the job were when Goths would come in and eat ribs.  There were occasionally some other BBQ-incongruous types who came in - Mennonites, Tibetan Monks - but the Goths were the best by far.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

This guy swears by the Chelsea location. Don't call him goth.

I wouldn't swear by any location of that place.  Though the cole slaw was actually pretty good.

He wanted to take me to Dallas BBQ for lunch when I was in town for the Armory show a couple years ago. I said, "NO DICE." I think I made a good move.

Probably because I'm unwilling to pay full price for his paintings. I'm not Andy Breckman rich. I can't spend 5 figures on a single painting. I just did a quick calculation of my entire art collection (what I paid for each piece, not how much it's worth now), and I haven't spent more than $5000 period.

Actually, that's just how he do*. He still lives in Bushwick.

*I'm trying to incorporate colloquialisms and slang into my message posts. Do I sound less like a lady who lives by herself?

Laurie, I suspect that no matter how hard you try you will never come off as lady-who-lives-by-herselfish as I, so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.  And if a solitary life is required in order to have a freezer full of za'atar, well, isn't it worth it?  (My freezer--one of the large chest variety--by contrast is full of meat destined for my animals:  way creepier.)
