Big Takeover is the coolest because Jack Rabid and my 65 year old dad used to co-coach the same high school softball team in Newark together.

Sweet! That guy is crazy. He reviews a really good chunk of the insane amount of reviews they publish. Overkill? Maybe....but I like it.

or they just used a Trent L. Strauss set?

Possible titles for the new Trent L Strauss "Everyday Italian" themed horror movie:

Eviscerated Italian
Human Parmagiana
Torturellini Alfredo
Pick Axe Piccata
De-Cappuccino
And for dessert... Killato
The only Wire I care about is the one that recorded Pink Flag.

I read Harper's, The New Yorker, The Believer, Juxtapoz, and Scum Bag Fag Mag. What? Don't judge. I was in New York, shopping in a record store, and I saw Cory Koons on the cover. I couldn't resist. My favorite issue is #12. I love the Chris Habana pictures. I own two Habana screen prints. I'd post links, but it's not safe for PD.

I used to read Juxtapoz all the time. Then it just dropped off for me. Maybe one to many tributes to hot rod photos or tattoos did it. Still became a fan of Todd Schorr and Glen Barr.

I recently picked up the ultimate in chicano-gangsta-prison-art-and-lady-ogling mag: Teen Angels.  If you like obsessively shaded pictures of soft-core porno women interacting with Aztec warriors, Evil Friars and Conquistadors, or little crying devil babies, this is the magazine for you.  It's pretty awesome.  Lowrider Arte is pretty good too, but Teen Angels is in it's own league.  It's got way more street cred.  Some of the artwork is actually pretty great.
