Wait!  There's a dessert tasting party?  How have I not heard about this until this very moment?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Quick report back, while Emily and Stan/Lamont are probably still winging their way back to NJ on public transit, and Kibblesmith is hanging with some East Village chums, Laurie is setting the night, or perhaps some celebrities, or maybe some hundred dollar bills on fire:

A good time was had by all.  Photos were taken.  I will eventually upload some crappy camera phone pics of the desserts that look like black lumps on plates.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Emily made it to her bus on time, I caught my train and I got to meet Kibblesmith and Lamont, who seems to not be a big dummy after all. As you might expect, Laurie is still quite filthy. My apologies to Sarah for no phone call, but this was a FoT Speed Meet Up. It was great seeing you all (long form of y'all, for our Southern friends) and here's looking forward to the record fair.

Photographic evidence:

Left to Right: Jason Grote (I should probably stop calling you Lamont), Kibblesmith, Emily, Ms. Filthy and me.

Good thing you didn't call, Stan--I wasn't answering my phone yesterday evening (not for fear of talking to you guys).

Those desserts look pretty disgusting in the photos, but no doubt they were luscious.

Sounds like y'all had a fine time!

Wait - Zach Galifinakis works at the Arby's at NC54/55?

It was a great time. Everyone is so cool - thanks for meeting up. The food was good, but the company was better (that's the arby's slogan, right?) My favorite dish was the one with the eggs in it. Laurie thought they were mascarpone.

oh & apparently PFT was in Weeds.

Everyone who's in town should make it to a viewing of Jason Grote's play - I highly recommend it because it sounds like it's going to be excellent. See you there or the record fair.

Also I would like to add how gracious Stan is. My last bus home was at midnight, and I was cutting it pretty close & Stan escorted me all the way to the bus to make sure that I caught it. We got there at 11:54, so it worked out fine. BUT WHAT A GUY! THANKS STAN!

Thanks, Emily. Running through the Port Authority Bus  Terminal was fun.

Damn, my internet time got truncated, but a few bullet points before I have to run to class:

-Stan, you can keep calling me Lamont.  I've brazenly stolen that joke for use in civilian life (complete with bad and borderline offensive Redd Foxx voice), so I owe you.

-Emily: aw, thanks!  I'm blushing!  I've got a new discount code (I don't know if they're actually selling out or the producers just keep changing them) that I'll post over at the extracurricular thread.

-Everyone: it was a great time with some great people.  The FOTs do not disappoint!

OK, more later.  See you at my play or the record fair.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

PS - the Port Authority misadventure was totally my fault.  I should have remembered that we were a good deal closer to the West 4th street stop.  What kind of a New Yorker am I?  For shame, Grote!

I guess I deserve the Lamont sobriquet.

seriously it's the port authority of new york and new jersey's fault for not scheduling more buses on sundays.

alls well that ends well.
