Hey, mine's tomorrow.  Just goes to show how unoriginally many of our parents passed the time during the cold month of January.

December.
Probably Christmas day, too much sherry and fuck all on the TV.

Omar, on a completely related subject, did we establish that we have the same birthday?

Other notables include: Arthur, Prince of Wales, Upton Sinclair, Red Auerbach, Fernando Rey, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Sophia Lauren, George R. R. R. R. R. Martin, Guy LaFleur, Gary Cole, Nuno Bettencourt (!!!), and Asia Argento (!!!!!!!!!!!).

Guy Lafleur, hahhaha.. Le bon 'ockey playeur!

Happy Birthday, Omar, Forrest, Jason and Sarah!

Thanks for all the bday wishes.  I created a new FOT birthday thread, so this one could be reserved for future Criterion chit-chat.

It's about time Criterion got around to the Chuck Norris catalog.

Too easy?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Everytime Chuck Norris blinks a Criterion DVD pops out. Then he rips it in two with his bare hands.

I saw Walker years ago I remember that even though its supposed to be a historical pic that at some points you see current magazines being read with Walker being the cover subject.

I would like to propose a variation on the Chuck Norris jokes, which have become Urban Outfitters t-shirt gags by now.  I'll leave the premise open, but the basic idea is crediting Norris for something other than toughness.  This might be best for another thread, but here's an example:

Chuck Norris has no tear ducts.  Every time he blinks, Criterion releases it on DVD and an association of French critics sheds tears of joy that wash his eyes out.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Pierrot le fou was a given, about time it got good treatment. Emperor I'm not so sure about. Haven't seen Walker - for a minute I thought it was The Walker, the new-ish Paul Schrader movie (which is not that bad, like a companion piece to American Gigolo and Light Sleeper). Alex Cox is interesting though, at least in a trainwreck kind of way.

I will buy the shit out of that special edition - and leave it on the shelf, unseen, for ages.
