I watched a second of 2G1C before I turned it off. But I'll tell you this: It's definitely peanut butter.

I think you might have caught the twist-laden M. Night Shyamalan remake by mistake.

I think it's far more likely that it's shit.  Much cheaper.  No special effects necessary.

It really depends on the state.  Certain states have tax incentives that actually make using real shit more expensive.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I defer to your superior knowledge, Jasong.  But surely you'd grant that, those special circumstances aside, filming straightforward scat shenanigans between two consenting (well, maybe) adults would be a hell of a lot cheaper than going through the folderol to make peanut butter look and behave like real poop.

Note:  I read that whole Emily Gould article.  And then rewatched the CNN clip.  Guess I felt masochistic this morning.

I was actually just kidding.  Though I am sick and tired of the fake-poop lobby growing fat off of our taxpayer dollars!

I was just thinking they got a peanut butter enema. I just can't see real poop looking like that otherwise. Maybe this belongs in the "gross" thread. Sorry, guys.

Oh, it can look like that.  (Now I'm even sorrier than you are, Beth.)

And, Jasong, what?!  You were kidding?!?????????????

They must have had a very special diet beforehand then, to get the proper consistency.

I believe my first reaction to the video, posted on this very board, was something like, "What did that poor girl eat?"

Talking about 2G1C in a Criterion Collection thread is great.

Bonus feature: "The Roots watch 2G1C" -

"Alright, well, for the sake of this conversation, let's say the book does not exist."
