anyone here play chess much?  I'm trying to get started and it's blowing my mind right now.  I have always known the what each piece does, but the strategies behind how you use them and the overall strategy is really fucking hard.

I just won my first game against the computer using a strategy and I can totally see how this could get addictive. (and I know that the computer let me win, it was a total fluke, but it felt good)
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

i started chess when i was eight but dropped it at twelve, i tried to pick it up again in college and it similarly blew my mind how hard the game actually is when people aren't teaching you but are seriously trying to kick your ass. i must have missed some developmental stage in chess when i was nerding it up at the school paper.
