what position would Dennis K play on a college football team?  the obvious answer would be kicker/punter, but I'm thinking he might be crafty enough to be a back up wide receiver despite his slight stature.

well, he did play third string QB for his high school football team, despite his size.

Besides place-kicker? Punt return specialist.

He would also be useful as I would be in my one college intramural game -- as the fake out play where the "extra" player on the field pretends to leave but stops short of the sideline and then hauls azz to the endzone as the QB hucks it down field.

I think he would be a CB, because of his "sticktoitiveness". He would be a very good tackler, despite his size, as shown be the height of his wife. He plays bigger that his body.

how did this become its own thread?  weird.

It has also acquired a little telephonelike icon instead of the usual page icon.  You must have inadvertently hit upon some magic.  One of my cats did much the same earlier today, when she walked on a combination of random keys that somehow froze up Word, causing me to lose the previous hour's work (I had been remiss about saving).

Please excuse me now while I retrieve from the freezer a couple of the chicken feet that I've been feeding my dogs lately and wave them about in a propitiatory ceremony intended to appease the technology gods.

I just don't see him as a CB. Imagine him trying to cover even an average sized wide receiver on a fade route! He could work as a safety if he hit hard enough, though. Most likely DK's a special teamer; maybe he'd work out as a kick returner but probably end up stuck on the hands team.

Yeah, what's up with that phone icon, anyway?
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I know when people update their Facebook status with their cell phone (with WAP or whatever it's called), a phone icon always pops up next to the update. Doubt it's the same deal here, though.

I actually did post that from my phone.  I've gotten into the bad habit of responding to e-mails (which then morphed into looking at forums) on my phone as I'm driving.  But fear not: I only do it on the wide open highways when there is not much traffic and I'm usually only doing 80 mph or so.

I'm so dumb.

I still don't know why it started it's own thread, though, but I also don't want to derail the important topic at hand:

Kick or punt return specialist, maybe?  Is he elusive?

We can only assume he's fast; how else did he make the team???

I think he would work as a kick returner because he'd be practically invisible behind the wedge. Couldn't imagine sending him out to get murdered on punt returns. Let him toss the ball on a flea flicker once or twice a year and I'd say he's earned his scholarship.

you see that wife?  :o

The man has something up his sleeve.

We could use those skills in the White House
