thank the lord for news stories like this. and just think, I was just wondering about our falling dollar and Jay-Z's Euro flashing (thx for the heads up Chris L.).

bah. we're doing just fine.

I wonder if this was the same one that David Cross talked about in his stand up.

For that kind of money, I better be able to take home the diamond encrusted pimp cup as well as the gold spoon. And that spoon better be solid gold, not gold plated, because seriously.

Do you think they will offer it for $25 if you agree to eat it out of a paper cup with a plastic spork? And what's the recommended pairing? Goldschläger? If so, I don't think most teenage girls can afford this dessert.

"I wouldn't be surprised if soon we get a call from a Middle Eastern prince or Shah willing to give something sweet to his many wives on his next trip to the city," Bruce said.

----Just as I suspected!  It's Shah bait!

Sounds nummy. Containing only the finest tahini, cucumbers, and a 2 carat diamond.

Edible gold? That's awful and sickening. At least the 1000 dollar bagel money goes to charity.  I've eaten at Serendipity 3 a few times. It's really not that wonderful, and this just gives me more incentive never to set foot in there again.

Norma's has a $1000 lobster frittata made with Sevruga caviar. They also have a $100 version. This does not stop me from eating there, as the food is fucking delicious. I've never spent more than $40 for breakfast there, though, so I can't comment on the crazy expensive omelette. I will tell you to order the hot chocolate, though, as it is made from melted Valrhona chocolate bars. Also, try the churros and the crispy french toast and also the belgian waffle with LOTS of Devonshire cream. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I once paid $450 for a hot dog.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

What do they do to trim $900 off the price?
