A very good idea.

Also, I apologize for the lack of updates lately - I blame real world stuff like work and family matters. But we will be back, don't you worry!

Definitely no need for apologies, your blog has been the only successful way I have found to sell people on the show. You can't do it with whole episodes or even the albums, which I guess are daunting to the uninitiated. The mp3s are perfect doses.

It's no I'm Not There rant, but I just made an update to the Vault. It's one of the best bits of 2007 - when Philly Boy Roy visited the studio.

It's a quick-and-dirty update, but we'll be back with more later in the week.

Whenever there is an update on the Vault, I get the same feeling I get when I find money I didn't know I had. Crimestick, you are truly a hero.

Seconded!

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

You guys are so nice - thank you.

There's a double-whammy update at the Vault today. The previously requested I'm Not There rant is up, as is this week's equally astute Juno review.

Final 2007 update. We'll be back with more in 2008.

Dear Vault,

In honor of recent legal proceedings that will hopefully vindicate the West Memphis 3, I would like to request the following:

Two things that I'd love to get on the Vault:

-The original call where "Get Ready To Meet My Little Friend" was offered as a top movie quote.  This is one of the most magical moments from the last year.

-The August 29, 2006 call where PBR reviews Invincible.  "We was doin' Da Butt down the aisles."

A coworker of mine recently delivered this variation on the Scarface quotation: "Prepare to meet my little friend."

What is it about that line that is so hard for people to replicate?  Nobody has that trouble with "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Bartles and Jaymes."
"I'm riding the silence like John Cage up in this piece." -Tom Scharpling

How about the I-Ron's Reggae Challenge call? I keep hearing it mentioned but the 5/9/06 show (when the call happened, according to http://www.friendsoftom.com/fotpedia/index.php?title=I-Ron's_Reggae_Challenge ) isn't available in the archives.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

It's funny, but it's very short.

Did I-ron ever call back in?  I think he did but I can't remember when - in that second call, I recall he said something about "I-ron gettin' i-ree!" which isn't in the first call, I don't think.
