Kenny Vs. Spenny
« on: November 15, 2007, 02:47:33 AM »
Debuted, America-wise, on Comedy Central two hours ago.

It figures Comedy Central would lead with an ep involving farts, but trust me, folks, this show is gonna be good. My girlfriend discovered it when she was living in Canada, and some of the clips she's found for me are priceless, the figure skating competition in particular (which I can't find on youtube anymore, unfortunately). Tonight it ran the risk of being dismissed as Jackass Jr. (it was still quite good, IMO), but it's pretty smart in spite of its juvenile stupidity and hopefully it will last longer on that network than, say, Crossballs did.

I'm a fan also and have d/l episodes since all the you tube clips were pretty much pulled. Kenny has stated the episodes that Comedy Central will be showing were picked as some of the best. Including how long you can wear a octopus on your head. One of the funniest ones ever.

I love this show.  Are they just doing best-ofs on CC, or are the new episodes?
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

Watched it for the first time on Sunday (the meat episode, which perhaps not so strangely reminded me quite a bit of that 2Girls1Cup thing).  I will watch again.  It's horrifying but funny and, yes, smart for all its stupidity.

Kenny reminds me of a bigger, younger, grosser Rick Mercer.*

* N.B.:  I'm referring to appearance only.

I know those guys!
A bunch of my friends work on that show.
Spenny made a movie this summer called "the Wanker" that is pretty funny too.
A poor man's Bronson Pinchot.

I found all of the episodes on YouTube yesterday and went on a 6 hour Kenny vs. Spenny bender. Kenny Hotz is one of the funniest and most diabolical "characters" I've seen on TV.  For me, his cleverness transcends all of the mean and toilet humor I usually avoid.  He's fanastic.  Well done, Canada.

Horribly distasteful, very funny.
