on job hunting
« on: December 19, 2007, 12:50:17 PM »
i gotta say, one of THE BEST feelings about job hunting, is when you leave a job interview and you can't get out of there fast enough because you KNOW you don't ever want to step foot in that building again & you are SO HAPPY you don't have to work there.

I love this feeling. It's almost euphoric. I just get so excited by the prospect of not working in a place that seems like it would suck the life out of me.

I am so glad I won't be working for you & that's not what my life will look like for the next year or so. SO HAPPY!!! Time to celebrate with a huge meal! YUM! Look out french toast you're coming to a celebration in my stomach!

What was the place?  Or if you don't want to name names, why was it so awful?
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

um, it was an archiving job for a publisher. but it would have been like a death sentence.

also, i guess i'm pretty picky & i know (now) exactly what i want. so, onward & upward!

That sounds exactly like my old job.  Archive for a publisher.  And kinda death sentencey.
