Hello everybody! It's Terre T, the host of The Cherry Blossom Clinic, heard every Saturday from 3-6 PM EST on WFMU (91.1FM/www. wfmu. org).
This is the last week of WFMU's two-week long fundraising marathon. This is how the station raises its operating budget for the entire year. We are COMPLETELY LISTENER SPONSORED. That means no corporate ads,no govt grants, no underwriting, no commercials. It's up to listeners like you to help us stay solvent and on the air so that we can bring you freeform radio the way you love it.
I'm doing my last Marathon show Sat. afternoon – Saturday March 8th from 3-6 PM EST, asking for your pledges to help keep WFMU up and running for another year.
If you're a fan of my show, I am begging you to pledge! It's important for fans of the Cherry Blossom Clinic to stand up and be counted! Let everybody know that you enjoy the show and that it's special to you.
I'm asking you to call 1-800-989-9368 or pledge on your computer at www. wfmu. org between 3-6 PM EST tomorrow, Saturday day, March 8th
(And if you are truly unable to pledge during the show, you can email your pledge to me by Sat until 5:30pm, and I will write it up for you! Just send it to terre@wfmu.org, and give your full name, address and pledge amount. This way u will get into any prize drawings i'm having and u will get my premiums that are only available during my show)
Maybe you listen over the radio. Or on the live stream. Or via the extensive WFMU archives. Maybe you've won tickets on the show. Or perhaps your band has played on the CBC. Or you've discovered some of your favorite bands by listening every Saturday. Whatever it is, you need to do the right thing and pay it back TODAY!
Simply put, without your pledges, there is no WFMU. So if the Cherry Blossom Clinic has been important to you over the last year, now is the time to show your support!
