Do you realize that Oklahoma....
« on: September 30, 2006, 08:40:25 AM »
has more fans per capita than any other state per the  Member Map?  There should be some kind of nod to Oklahoma in next weeks show, like maybe an all oklahoma musical break consisting of the following Oklahoma bands:
Flaming Lips
Starlight Mints
Student Film
The Evangelicals
Hosty Duo
Color Me Badd
Hanson

Hell, the more I think about it, the more I think the whole show should be devoted to Oklahoma.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

I'm in the boat of not believing that Oklahoma is a real place.

Color Me Badd!  No kidding.  I never realized... now I think my view of Oklahoma has really just improved tremendously.  My view of the Sooner State has been changed forever.

Just caught that documentary about the Flaming Lips, "The Fearless Freaks," on Sundance or IFC.  I enjoyed it a lot, although I could have done without quite so much discussion of Steven Drodz's heroin addiction.  The rest was good stuff.

Oh, it exists, as much as I'd like to think otherwise sometimes.  I reminded every Sunday morning when the Baptizoids at the church across the street wake me up slamming the doors on their Expeditions and Navigators with the Bush stickers and yellow ribbon decals.  At least the Church of Satan down the street from Tom had a Fun Fair.

I hear Oklahoma native Toby Keith is doing a cover of Porcupine Pie for his next album.  Y'all.
