theme song question
« on: March 23, 2008, 09:25:19 PM »
One of the Best Show theme songs that is usually heard immediately after the theme song that opens every show sounds to me like one of my favorite bands Ass Ponys. The vocalist is a dead-on Chuck Cleaver.

Who is the band behind this song? Is there really a Chuck Cleaver-Best Show connection?

Also, I'd like to move that Ass Ponys (and Cleaver's new band Wussy) be added to the list of awesome things that have come out of Ohio.

There's no Ass Ponys theme song. I like the Ass Ponys a whole lot (haven't heard Wussy, though), but I can't think of any of the three theme songs whose singers sound like Mr. Cleaver. If I had to guess, I'd say you're thinking of Shock the Claw's theme, which features (I think) John Junk. There's also one with 2007 Caller of the Year Paycheck and a third that is based on the song Jak by Volcano Suns.

I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I met a guy the other day who said the "Themeweavers" theme (and bed music) is actually Hank IV, from San Francisco, and I believe him.

I can confirm that at least the Hank IV bass player (Chris P.) is in the Themeweavers

This is great - I totally forgot those were all posted online for download.  I have been missing the "Good Guys Win" closing theme something fierce these days. I've gotta download that when I get home.
I'm warning you with peace and love.
